OGUN - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the early hours on Monday declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Ibikunle Amosun, as the winner of Ogun Central Senatorial District Election in Ogun State.
Senator Amosun who is the incumbent governor of Ogun State scored 88,110 votes to beat Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni-Gomez of of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) who had 37, 101 votes.
Prof. Idris Akanbi, the INEC Returning Officer for Ogun Central Senatorial district made the declaration at the collation centre at Centinary Hall, Ake, in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
He said Amosun, having satisfied the requirements of the rule and scored the highest votes at the election, was declared the winner of the Ogun Central senatorial seat.
