ABEOKUTA - The Ogun State Chapter of Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) has condemned the state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for rejecting the result of last Saturday's Presidential election.
The Ogun State IPAC Chairman, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi who spoke with newsmen in Abeokuta on Tuesday expressed displeasure over the rejection of the election result by PDP, stressing that the party should have waited for the final announcement by INEC before condemning the process.
Arabambi equally refuted the claim by the PDP that, All Progressive Congress (APC) colluded with the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Illiyasu and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allegedly manipulate the election.
Arabambi said, “We saw in the news that the National Chairman was accusing INEC and the security agencies of colluding to rig election in favour of the APC candidate but they have not been able to substantiate their position.
“I don’t understand this noise by PDP that APC colluded with INEC to rig the election; claiming they have certain results with them.”
Arabambi praised the Commissioner of Police and the Resident Electoral Commissioner Prof Abdulgany Raji for the peaceful conduct of the election.

“In Ogun state, we in IPAC, we give kudos to the Commissioner of Police and the resident electoral commissioner. There is no collusion as far as we are concerned here. Ahmed Illiyasu and Prof Abdulgany Raji are doing wonderful job here in Ogun state.
Arabambi also took swipe at the former governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba for calling for the sack of Ogun Police Commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, describing it "as his personal opinion which should not be taken seriously.
“I respect baba Osoba but the call by him that the CP be removed is uncalled for with due respect. If there was crisis between APC and APM in the stadium, that does not determine the capacity of the CP. Such call is his personal opinion. As far as we are concerned, everything went well in the election.
”What baba said was his personal opinion and such should not be taken seriously.” He emphasised
