IBADAN – The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Mrs. Mojisola Adeyeye on Tuesday, expressed the readiness of the agency to strengthen its regulatory framework to enhance its efficiency and improve its service delivery to all stakeholders.
Adeyeye spoke at a one-day interactive meeting with stakeholders from southwest geopolitical zone on NAFDAC regulated products. The event took place at House of Chiefs, Parliament Building, Secretariat, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The NAFDAC boss, who is a Professor of Pharmacy, said the agency has a statutory responsibility to safeguard public health, stressing that it had imbibed best international practices and aligned with global regulatory standards.
She said, “We are appealing to the industry to support NAFDAC by adhering to the Agency’s laws and regulations. These are enforced to ensure that operations and activities are in line with NAFDAC’s extant laws and regulations.
