Atiku Volunteer Group Declares Support For Akinlade

ABEOKUTA – Ahead of the Saturday's governorship election in Ogun State, the Atiku Abubakar Independent Volunteer Movement has on Wednesday declared its support for the governorship candidate of Allied Peoples Movement (APM),  Hon. Adekunle Akinlade.

The group in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Atinsola Oludare and made available to THE ENCOUNTER NEWS stressed that, after the presidential election which Atiku Abubakar lost to President Buhari, the group oberseved that Akinlade was the most direct and inspiring among the candidates. 

They stated that Akinlade has demonstrated the most optimistic vision to move the state and Nigeria forward, insisting that Akinlade has the core values exhibited by the current Governor,  Senator Ibikunle Amosun. 

The group also noted that Akinlade has the capacity to continue where Governor Amosun stopped. 

The statement reads: "The Atiku Abubakar Independent Volunteer Movement had the opportunity to observe and evaluate the programs and plans of all candidates vying for the office of the governor of the Ogun State  in the forthcoming 2019 elections. Amongst all the candidates, Hon Akinlade  the candidate of Allied People Movement  (APM) has proven to be the most direct and inspiring. He has also demonstrated the most optimistic vision to move Nigeria forward".

"Four years ago when Governor Ibikunle Amosun was elected, like thousands of other Ogun State residence we were hopeful that Ogun State will witness a turnaround, and we are glad Ogun state is not where she used to be.

"AAIVM  believes that for any candidate aspiring to be Ogun State Governor to earn the support of the people he must share our core values as exhibited by Gov Ibikunle Amosun . 

AAIVM is unequivocally convinced that Hon Adekunle .A.Akinlade shares our core values. Throughout his life, he has unswervingly sided with the oppressed masses". 

“Today, the 6th of February, 2019, we as members of Atiku Independent Volunteer Movement  warehousing over One Ten thousand Members  united together and stronger in one voice to officially make formal declaration to support Hon Adekunle . A Akinlade bid come March 9th, 2019.

Akinlade election is in the State interest and his ability to continue where Gov Ibikunle Amosun Stopped.

“We are glad to appreciate the good work of Gov Ibikunle Amosun and today, the roads are working, the ultra modern school are back on track, the agricultural sector which is the instrument of diversification is on course and the farmers can now Smile to the banks, the social intervention policy are well implemented with due diligence coupled with uncountable infrastructural development that are scattered across the Local Goverment.

“We cannot afford to stand akimbo and aloof in the political space to allow rascals, hooligans and economic thieves who are professionally hollow, delinquent in leadership panache, nomadic in character and content to hold sway in the governance of Ogun State  once again.

"We urge  all Ogun State residence to go out in unprecedented numbers on election day and Vote for Hon Adekunle .A.Akinlade (APM) as the next  governor  of  Ogun State a. We know that with Akinlade Ogun State future is secured", he concluded .
