Governor Amosun who personally supervised the removal of the APC governorship candidate, Dapo Abiodun’s posters, bill boards, before the election, has now ordered the removal of APM/Akinlade’s bill boards and other signages after the election.

Billboards in some areas visited by The Encounter News such as, Adatan, Ake, Ijemo, Sapon, Isale-Igbein, Ibara, Panseke, Onikolobo among others have been removed by agents of the government.

Political observers were however opined that, the governor might have finally accepted the defeat of his preferred candidate.

Akinlade who polled 222,153 votes lost to his main challenger of the APC, Dapo Abiodun who scored 241,670 votes.

The Allied Peoples Movement, APM had rejected the announcement of the Governorship and Houses of Assembly election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Akinlade and his party, APM have alleged that the election was marred with irregularities and threatened to explore all legal means to challenge the election result in the court.
