ENUGU - A Nigerian Pastor, Alex Uzor of Diocese of Awgu/Aninri in Enugu has asked members of his congregation not to use the outbreak of the dreaded coronavirus disease to refrain from fulfilling their obligations to God through tithe and offering payment.

Rev. Uzor who took to his facebook page urged the congregants who could not come to the church due to the federal government ban on religious gathering of 50 people or above to ensure they make their tithe and offering donation through online transfer.

In the facebook post, the clergyman gave a first bank account number: 2034006854.

He said, "For online Offering and Tithe, use: First Bank 2034006854".

The post has however sparked controversies on social media has many have condemned the man of God act, describing it as an attempt to milk his members in this difficult period.
