Don't Join Politics For Pecuniary Gains, Ogun Sports Commissioner Charges Opposition Parties

ABEOKUTA - The Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Ogun State, Kehinde Oludare has enjoined opposition parties in the state to work harmoniously with the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and Governor Dapo Abiodun administration.

Oludare admonished other political parties in the state to ensure to contribute their quota towards the development of the State irrespective of political affiliations.

The Commissioner stated this last week, when members of League of Registered Political Parties paid him courtesy visit in his office. 

He maintained that, posterity will never forgive most of the serving political office holders in the state who failed to use their office for the development of the State. 

He said the essence of joining politics was not for pecuniary gains, but to contribute their quota to national development. 

He therefore, commended the League of Registered Political Parties for their concerted effort in rallying round with other political parties to maintain peace and tranquility in the state.

"What are we contributing to the development of the society. And as a political party we have our own aims and objective for us to join in politics and the essence of it, is because we felt we can contribute our quota to the national development. 

"There cannot be economic stability without political statement. If our policy is not stable, definitely, we cannot have economic stability.

"On that note, I want to commend you for doing, let me say whatever you do will never go in vain. History and posterity will never forgive us those who have the opportunity to develop this state, I want admonish us to work in synergy. 

"So, in our own politics, I want to advise, let it be that, it is not what we want to achieve that matter, but what people can benefit because of us."
