Lockdown: Everest Metal Company Gives Out Cash To Ogijo Residents

ABEOKUTA - As part of its effort to provide means of survival for the people, a Company named Everest Metal Nigeria Limited, has given out cash for food items to the people of Ogijo communities in Ogun state to cushion the effect of lockdown in the state.

The Managing Director of the company, Vikas Das  disclosed this during a phone conversation with Journalists in Abeokuta, the state capital.

He noted that the gesture is meant to support the state government.

According to him, the beneficiaries are vulnerable and aged people,  company workers, residents of Ogijo communities.

He added that the company has distributed in COVID-19 emergency relief support for Ogijo communities.

Meanwhile, Vikas commended the President Of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for putting in place  necessary measures to curtail the spread of  coronavirus pandemic in the country.

He also urged Nigerians, especially his factory workers to obey the directive laid down by the federal and state government in preventing the spread of corona virus pandemic.

He appealed to his factory workers not to disobey the government's directives, advising them to remain at homes pending the time the issue of Corona Virus will be over.

The MD called on them to ensure they wash their hands properly and avoid social gathering, saying that with that they are likely to be free from the virus.

The MD therefore appreciated the efforts of the state and federal government so far in putting necessary measures in place to end the virus.
