ABEOKUTA - Abeokuta branch of Nasrul-Lahi-Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) on Thursday joined millions of Nigerians to support the needy and less privileged in the society during the lockdown order by the federal government.
The Chairman of the Muslim society, Alhaji Moruf Popoola while distributing the relief package yesterday in Abeokuta the association decided to support the members as a result of the sit-at-home directive by both federal and Ogun state governments, which according to him hindered the means of livelihood of the people.
Popoola said the beneficiaries mostly women and widows got a pack of Rice, beans, sachet tomatoes, groundnut oil and cash donations as transport fare.
He equally said of the beneficiaries who has critical financial assistance were also empowered with N15,000 as relief donation to support their petty business during the stay at home period.
Areas covered by the team are Olomore, Obantoko, Saje, Ijaiye, Iyana Mortuary, Abiola way, Lantoro, Idi-Aba, Lafenwa, Rounder, Kolobo, Quarry, Totoro, Kuto among others.
