Achudume Bemoans Lack Of Sincerity, Unity Among Religious Leaders

ABEOKUTA - The General Overseer, Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume has mauled religious leaders who failed to speak the truth at all times.

Achudume noted that, religious leaders as major stakeholders in the affairs of man must strive to be above board and see themselves as agents of God to better the human race. 

The clergyman stated this on Sunday in his online sermon, titled "Cowards in cassock."

He maintained that, time has come for religious leaders to live up to expectations and take their proper place in the scheme of things, stressing that as carriers of God's power, they must ensure they are held in high esteem.

According to him, any cleric worthy of his calling should be bold to speak against all forms of injustice against humanity without minding whose ox is gored. 

Apostle Achudume therefore, urged men of God to always uphold the injunctions of God and divine instruction urging them to desist from twisting the scriptures for their selfish gains. 

He added that, everyone will give account of his deeds on earth, calling on the need to imbibe the fear of God and to always render selfless service to humanity. 

The eloquent man of God also noted that majority of Nigerians are still living in abject poverty while some are without basic social amenities, adding that provision of infrastructure, employment opportunities as well as good governance by political office holders will bring the needed succour to Nigerians.
