Fola Achudume Takes Campaign Against Rape To Social Media

ABEOKUTA - Wife of the General Overseer, Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, Rev. Fola Achudume is determined to wage war against rape of women and girl-child in the country.

 

Mrs. Achudume, through her NGO known as "Save Her Foundation" said she had concluded arrangements to wage war against rape.

According to Rev. Achudume, the programme which will be streamed live on Facebook will kick off tomorrow, Saturday,b July 11 by 12noon on the Facebook handle at 'saveherfoundation.com'.

She said the programme tagged 'War Against Rape' have facilitators such as, the Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Funmi Efuwape, the Ogun State's President, All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of secondary schools (ANCOPSS), Dr.A.O.Womiloju, and the acting secretary, West African Law and Religious Society, Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, as well as the General Overseer of victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume.

 

The founder of the foundation who is passionate about issues relating to the girl-child posited that the body of every female is sacred and should not be turned to a war zone through abuse, molestation and rape.

The convener reiterating that all hands must be on deck against rape, stressing that rape should not be swept under the carpet, emphasizing the need that the women and every girl child should be guaranteed security and safety.
