Owu Traditional Council Refutes Death Rumour Of Oba Dosunmu

ABEOKUTA - The Owu Traditional Council in Owu Kingdom of Egbaland has refuted the death rumour of Oba Adegboyega Dosunmu, the Olowu of Owu kingdom, describing social media report as falsehood.

The Balogun of Owu Kingdom, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who dispelled the death rumour on Saturday in a press statement explained that contrary to the death rumour, the royal father only went for a minor surgery at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan and has since been discharged and recuperating in Abeokuta.

"Contrary to the speculative reportage about the health condition of Oba Olusanya Adegboyega Dosunmu, Kabiyesi  had a minor surgery at the UCH Ibadan and has since been discharged and recuperating in Abeokuta", Obasanjo emphasied.

The statement  further explained that, Olowu's health remains stable and gives no sign for apprehension, and thanked those who ceaselessly called to enquire about the monarch following the speculative report and advised newsmen to exercise restraint and abide by their investigative norms before "breaking news".
