Parents Blast Gov. Abiodun Over N25,000 Payment For Covid-19 Test For Students (Watch Video)

ABEOKUTA - Mild drama occured on Sunday in Ogun State as parents numbering about hundred besieged the MTR Specialist Hospital, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta venue of the Covid-19 test for secondary school students.

Governor Dapo Abiodun had last week ordered compulsory Covid-19 test for all primary and secondary school students preparing for common entrance and WAEC examinations.

The parents who were shocked with the sudden introduction of payment of N25,000 as payment for Covid-19 test on each student, queried why the state government would impose any levy on students in private schools while their counterparts in public schools were tested free.

They described the payment for Covid-19 test as stealing by trick by the State Government.
