Splash FM Management Team Resigns

ABEOKUTA - The entire management crew of reigning radio station in Abeokuta on Saturday resigned from the station with immediate effect.

The Head of the station in Abeokuta, Victor Eniola Mark alongside five other top management team left the station over unknown reasons.

Seasoned broadcaster, Victor Eniola-Mark has dumped Splash 106.7 FM in Abeokuta, Ogun state, where he until now served as the Head of Station.

It was gathered that the popular broadcaster who made the station a household name on the basis of a contract between West midland Communications and his company, 'Coded media and Allied concept Limited' finally moved out of the station after his programme on Saturday.

Mark, who is yet to communicate his plans, confirmed his movement over the phone with journalists in Abeokuta noting that his movement was in public interest and for a greater good.

Aside from Mark, two other major management members, Emmanuel Oke who until his resignation served as Head of English Programmes and Josphine Amadi popular known as 'Ameerah' (Head of Yoruba Programmes, has also left the station.

Preliminary investigation revealed that others leaving the station with Mark include;  , Olalekan Shoyinka ( Ayinla Egba), Olaitan Afuape, Oluwabiyi Sowole among others.

It is expected that the owners of the station would take this in bad taste as the personalities involved were pivotal to making the station a Household name in only a matter of months.

Efforts to ascertain the reason for the mass resignation from the new station proved abortive as no one has officially commented on their destination.
