Edo: Ogun PDP Congratulates Obaseki, Secondus

ABEOKUTA - Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and National Working Committee of the party led by  Prince Uche Secondus on the success of last Saturday governorship election in the state.

The State Chairman of PDP, Honourable Sikirulah Ogundele in a statement in Abeokuta, described the landslide victory of the governor who polled 307,955 votes against 223,619 scored by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as clear acceptance of the party by the people .

PDP according to Ogundele in the statement, has demonstrated that is a party who strongly believe in rule of law  that power truly belong to the people and not few individuals.

He expressed confidence that another PDP candidate, Eyitayo Jegede would repeat the same feat in the October 10 governorship poll in Ondo state as well as in Ogun and other states in 2023 general election.

Ogundele insists that PDP is only alternative platform for Nigerians to actualize their dreams of prosperous economy and better future for generation yet unborn.
