ABEOKUTA - The lawmaker representing Abeokuta South State Constituency I at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Yusuf Temitope Adejojo on Monday launched Free School Bus Programme for secondary school students in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
According to Hon. Adejojo, the free school bus was an initiative of his foundation, Yusuf Adejojo Foundation to cushion the effect of pump price on parents.
The lawmaker said, the transportation scheme was to transport students of different schools in the state from various bus stops to their schools with a bid to ease their movements to the school.

The Chairman, House Committee on Information explained that, the project was initiated due to the increase in road casualties and the increase in global warming, which according to him are harmful to the students and children at large.
He added that, the bus was to be boarded by only students in uniform of various schools with bus stops at Sapon, Ijaiye, Iyana Mortuary, Lisabi, Idi-Aba, Oke-Lantoro, Abiola way and Asero.
He therefore, called on the students to show good conducts, use their face masks and be punctual.
"The bus will be at Sapon by 7:00am, Ijaiye junction by 7:05, Iyana Motuary by 7:15, GOTECO by 7:20, Lisabi by 7:25, Abeo gramms by 7:30, Lantoro High School by 7:40, Madojutimi junction by 7:47, Asero by 7:50. Attached is a sign of bus stop where the bus ONLY STOPS.
"The programme commenced this morning after a long shutdown. Bus stops will be indicated for boarding and alighting in the morning and afternoon respectively for the students. All students are expected to show good conducts, use their face masks and be punctual."
