ABEOKUTA - The Caretaker Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Ayodeji Michael Shomide has declared his unalloyed support to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Abeokuta South Local Government and Ogun State respectively.
Hon. Shomide made this pledge in his office on Thursday while playing host to the Ogun State Commandant of the NSCDC, Commandant Hamed Abodunrin.
The council chairman affirmed that, the industrious work of NSCDC personnel within the jurisdiction of the Local Government are excellent saying their security outfit within is welcoming by the people of ASLG.
He further, commended all the security officials in the LGA for being dedicated, diligent and technical in tackling and curbing the menace of hoodlums and criminalities in the council area.
He therefore reiterated the council's support to the security outfit in the council area.
Speaking earlier, the Commandant of NSCDC Ogun State, Hamed Abodunrin disclosed the reason for his visit that, it was centered to ensure cordial relationship which will promote orderliness security and peaceful coexistence between the Local Government and the dwellers in ASLG.
He also informed the Local Government that new policy have been made by NSCDC Ogun State to train the primary school pupils for eleven weeks, adding that the first phase of the training would start with the teachers and the teachers will thereafter train their pupils in the course.
He, however appreciated ASLG area for her unflinching supports, for the logistics and ultimate accommodation given to his personnel in the Local Government.
