Egba War Chiefs Congratulate Nigeria's High Commissioner To UK, Sarafa Ishola On New Appointment

ABEOKUTA - Council of Chiefs in Egbaland under the Ologun and Olorogun have congratulated the newly appointed Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Ishola over his appointment. 

President Muhammadu Buhari earlier this year announced the appointment of Chief Sarafa Ishola after the Senate confirmation. 

The Egba warlords in a congratulatory letter addressed to the new UK High Commissioner said his attributes as a seasoned politician and administrator earned him the exalted position. 

The letter signed by the Balogun of Egbaland, Chief Sikirulahi Olatunde Atobatele reads: "We write to formally congratulate you on your appointment as the Nigerian High Commissioner to United Kingdom.

"We know you have worked hard to reach this level, and we are so happy that you have done the grind and you have paid your dues.

"We also have no doubt in our mind that you possess attributes that have prepared you for the exalted position as the Nigerian Envoy to the United Kingdom

"We appreciate your outstanding and wonderful contributions to the group. Your regular attendance, logical contributions and financial commitments at our meetings, have largely contributed to the advancement of the activities of the Ologun Olorogun Council of Chiefs in Egbaland. This is noted and appreciated by all.

"It is our prayer that the Almighty Allah that has seen you to this point will continue to guard and guide you always. Therefore on behalf of all the Ologuns and Oloroguns in Egbaland, we felicitate with you and pray that Allah will give you the Grace of a successful tenure in Office."
