ABEOKUTA - The Acting Rector, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji has tasked members of staff of the institution to refrain from externalizing the internal crisis rocking the polytechnic.
Dr. Odedeji gave the charge on Monday at a prayer session held at the polytechnic to usher in the new year.
The Ag. Rector noted that, the Polytechnic has continued to maintain her position as one of the best in Nigeria, urging the staff not to tarnish the image of the polytechnic with current challenges.
He however, thanked the staff for their perseverance with the management and the state government in 2020, assuring them that the management would consider some of their request this year.
"Let us pray for the peace of MAPOLY. We have gone through so much turbulence in the past years and have scale through. Let us be prayerful this year for a better MAPOLY. Let us stop fanning the ember of disunity. Let us look for ways to resolve our crisis internally.
"We have to be creative in generating more IGR. I want to sincerely thank you for your perseverance in 2020. I call for your cooperation in 2021. Our image is soaring in the comity of polytechnics in Nigeria. Let us not use our internal predicament to tarnish our image."
The prayer session was ended with thanksgiving songs and praise.
