ABEOKUTA - A London based philanthropist and President of Gbenga Akinwande Foundation, Engr. Gbenga Akinwande has donated a motorcycle to the National Population Commission, Egbado (Yewa) North Local Government Area of Ogun state for operational and logistics purposes.
In a statement by Engr. Akinwade, the gesture was a direct response to an appeal by the commission as the deplorable state of the roads has rendered some community clearly inaccessible, thereby, hampering the smooth operation of the vital agency of Government.
While delivering the motorcycle to the Commission earlier today, He acknowledged the dilapidated state of the roads and affirmed that they leave much to be desired, hence, the intervention at this crucial time of compelling national assignment.

At the presentation of the motorcycle to the National Population Commission were the Vice-chairman of Yewa North Local Government - Elder Benjamin Adebiyi, the Iyaloja of Yewaland - Alhaja Yemisi Abass, the representative of Alaye of Ayetoro- Chief Kola Onifade (Asiwaju of Ayetoro); various Baales and many communities leaders.
