ABEOKUTA - The Chairman, Transition Committee Abeokuta South Local Government Ake has rejoiced with the indigenes and dwellers within and diaspora on the creation of Ogun State which clocks 45th of its existence today.
Hon. Shomide, thanked the then Military Head of State, Late General Muritala Muhammed who authoritatively made a National broadcast to announce the seven States to increase the number of States in Nigeria from 12 States to 19 States.
The Council Chairman, Hon. Shomide while congratulating the people of the Gateway State, appreciated the enmeshed Leaders who fought for the creation of Ogun State in February 3, 1976.
He, however, thanked the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for his leadership style of governance in Ogun State thereon urged the people in the State to continue in there cooperations with the Ogun State Governor, Prince Abiodun for the legacy of great future to be assessed by us.
