ABEOKUTA - Party leaders in Odeda local government area of Ogun State have commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his accepting the choice of the party in Alhaja Adeyemo Waliat Folashade as APC Chairmanship flagbearer in the forthcoming local government elections.
The party leaders in a letter dated 6th June, 2021 and addressed to the Governor said they have no doubt that the wealth of experience, ability and leadership traits exhibited by Alhaja Adeyemo while she was the Education Secretary of Odeda Local Government shows her capability in leading our dear local government to promise land as the first female chairperson of the local government.
The letter reads in part: "on behalf of the entire progressive APC leaders of Odeda Local Government, we write to express our deepest appreciation to Your Excellency, for counting our daughter, sister, mother and leader; Alhaja Adeyemo W. F. as the party flagbearer / candidate for the forthcoming local government election in the state.
"While thanking Your Excellency, for this rare opportunity, we assure you of our unalloyed support in ensuring that our party comes victorious in the coming council election and beyond.
"Sir, we have no doubt that the wealth of experience, ability and leadership traits exhibited by Alhaja Adeyemo while she was the Education Secretary of Odeda Local Government shows her capability in leading our dear local government to promise land as the first female chairperson of the local government.
"Alhaja Adeyemo W. F. is humble, reliable, hardworking, intelligence, scholastic and industrious individual with leadership capacity, exceptional team player and strong party faithful."
They however, expressed hope that Odeda will have a better political fortune under her leadership.
