ABEOKUTA - The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Kolawole Salako has congratulated the University Muslim Community and their counterpart world-wide on this year's Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Prof. Salako in his Sallah message to the leaders and members of FUNAAB's Muslim Community in particular, and faithfuls in general, thanked Allah for making the Ummah to witness another new year celebration.
He prayed Almighty Allah to grant them long life and prosperity to celebrate many more of Eid-el-Kabir on earth.
However, the Vice Chancellor urged members of the University community to imbibe and foster the much needed spirit of sacrifice, cordial neighbourliness and selfless service on campus and anywhere they are, as espoused by Prophet Mohammed in the holy Quran.
Prof. Salako admonished faithfuls to harness their thoughts and energies towards cordial relationship with adherents of other religions, in order to sustain and enhance the entrenched and fledging peaceful co-existence on campus.
The Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the University management thanked the institution's Muslim community for their unflinching support and unalloyed cooperation towards his administration's modest achievements since inception.
He urged them not to relent in joining hands with his administration in the genuine efforts and drive to make FUNAAB a world-class University.
The Vice Chancellor assured the Muslims and the entire University community that he remains committed to fostering peaceful co -existence among staff and students, as well as to overall progress and development of FUNAAB through unwavering commitment to his administration 12-Point Agenda.
Prof. Salako prayed for a hitch-free celebration, wishing FUNAAB's Muslim community and world-wide Happy Eid-el-Kabir.
