ABEOKUTA - Old Students of Iganmode Grammar School, Sango Ota on Friday rewarded their schools' Principals with cash donations.
Presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries, Chief Jide Ojuko said adequate compensation and welfare package for Teachers in public schools will trigger total commitment towards scholastic achievement in schools.
Chief Ojuko who is the President, Iganmode Grammar School Old Students Association commended the schools' administrators and teachers for keeping the standard of the Schools and maintaining high discipline despite obvious overpopulation with about Twelve Thousand Students in both Junior and Senior Schools.
The President, however, appealed to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to take an urgent look at the roads leading to the school at Ojuore and Ilogbo road to improve easy assess.
Responding while receiving the one hundred Thousand cheques each, the Principals of the Senior School, Alhaji Salako declared that since his assumption as the Principal about two years ago, the school has won over twenty laurels in both academic and non academic competition in national, state and local championships.

He promised that the school will work hard to bring back the record of being the only public schools with three wins in the national Cowbell Mathematics competition in the past.
In the same vein, the Principal of the Junior School, who is also an old Students thanked the association for encouraging the teachers, she appealed to both old students and government to pay additional attention to the junior schools as the foundation for performance in the senior and tertiary institution.
The Old students team led by the President, Chief Jide Ojuko, also had the National Sec. Mrs Sodiya, Social Welfare, Alhaji Lateef Deinde, Mr Oguntoyinbo, Asst Nat Sec and Rotarian KayodeTaiwo, Publicity Secretary.
