BREAKING: Gov. Abiodun Names Tunde Kazeem OGTV Acting GM, Redeploys Seyi Oladimeji, Kemi Ewedairo-Yusuff To Ministry Of Information

Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji

ABEOKUTA - Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state has appointed Mr. Tunde Kazeem as the Acting General Manager of the Ogun State Television (OGTV).

Mr. Kazeem until his appointment was a senior director at the State Ministry of information and strategy.

His appointment followed the suspension of some top management staff of the state-owned television by the governor following the leaked democracy day broadcast message video of Governor Abiodun by yet unknown staff of the station.

THE ENCOUNTER NEWS reliably gathered that the former Assistant General Manager (News and Current Affairs) of the station, Mr. Seyi Oladimeji, and Assistant General Manager (Programmes), Alhaja Kemi Ewedairo-Yusuf have been redeployed to the State Ministry of information with a one-year salary reduction.

Also, a staff of the television station who was part of those suspended by the state government in the editing suite, Mr. Damilola Kolawole was transferred to the film and editing department of the state Ministry of information while a contract staff with the station, Joseph Adeesan was sacked without compensation.

Other nine suspended staff of the TV station have been ordered to return to work with a one-month salary deduction.

This development may not be unconnected to the intervention of some stakeholders in the state headed by Towulade of Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye who pleaded with the governor to pardon the suspended staff and allow them to return to work.
