ABEOKUTA - The Asiwaju of Orile-Imo community in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State, Chief Olakunle Olalekan has empowered not less than 20 unemployed youths with cash support and working tools.
Chief Olakunle who said he was committed to equipping youths with entrepreneurial skills to alleviate poverty in the state, enjoined well meaning Nigerians to always give back to their constituency.
The empowerment which eclipsed his 55th birthday anniversary held at Orile-Imo had in attendance notable dignitaries from all works field of life.
The community leader donated materials including sewing machines, hair dryers and check of N50,000 each to others who needed money to support their businesses.
While speaking to Journalists at the event Asiwaju said “I am elated. What God has done for me, I cannot explain it. God has been very good to me. He brought me from nobody to somebody and that’s why I am celebrating to show gratitude to Him.
“I want to advisee individuals to also emulate this by giving back to their society. If you have all it takes, contribute to the developmental of your society and your people will be happy with you."
