Amotekun Operatives Nab Two Suspected Ritualists With Corpse Coffin

ABEOKUTA - The Ogun state command of Amotekun Corps has arrested two suspected ritualists with a casket of a dismembered corpse in Ijebu-Igbo.

According to the State Commander, Amotekun Corps, CP David Akinremi rtd the suspects were arrested following tip-off that some persons were sighted bringing in a casket in the middle of the night.

CP Akinremi said following the information, his officers quickly mobilized to the scene and upon arrival sighted one Dare Banjo, who is an herbalist.

He said in the herbalist house, a casket was seen in the house and the stench from the casket triggered suspicion.

The Amotekun Commander said  inside the casket was a dismembered corpse without head, of a suspected male victim of ritual killing by the herbalist and his cohorts. 

He said the operatives immediately arrested the herbalist and one of his accomplices named Toheeb Talubi.

He said during investigation, the two suspects confirmed the corpse was for money rituals and they have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
