ABEOKUTA - The Senator representing Ogun Central at the National Assembly, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has congratulated Nigeria's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Chief Sarafa Tunji Ishola on the occasion of his 61st birthday celebration.
Amosun, in an emotional laden letter to the Nigerian Ambassador, expressed joy at the presentation of credentials to Britain's Monarch, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.
The former Ogun state governor noted that the two remarkable events taking place on the same day were not a mere coincidence, but rather, a reflection of his true personality.
"The fact that these two remarkable events are taking place on the same day is not a mere coincidence, rather, it is a reflection of your true personality-one that attracts celebrations and honours. Even in the trajectory of your service to Ogun State and Nigeria, particularly as a Local Government Chairman, Secretary to the State Government and Federal Minister of Mines and Steel. Development, it has been an eventful career laced with lots of achievements and celebrations.
"I note the many remarkable innovations you have put in place within the short period of your assumption of duty as the Nigeria High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, which are geared towards restoring the credibility and efficiency of the Mission. Your positive impacts in the area of upholding our national interests and strengthening of bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom are also worthy of note.
"On this double celebrations, I join your family, associates and other Nigerians in celebrating these milestone events. It is my prayer that Almighty Allah (SWT) will grant you many more years, in good health, and also give you the wherewithal to continue to discharge your duties effectively and efficiently.
