ABEOKUTA - As part of activities slated for his 20years on stage as a Gospel-Juju singer, Segun Sowunmi and his Omo Nla Peace Band International is taking the music industry by storm with the launching of four different albums.
According to Sowunmi, the four musical albums both in video and audio CD are titled: Ijo Ope, Orin Isegun, London Gist, and My People.
His experience in seven countries through his musical career gave him inspiration to chronicle them into music for his ardent fans to know his sojourn in music.
The widely traveled musician whose last album was released six years ago thanked his supporters across the world especially, Prof. Abayomi Jiboku, Alhaji Tajudeen Adisa Olori, Dr. Mrs. Fehintola Adeseun, Dr. Oludayo Akibo, Chief Taye Fashina,UK band Adviser and Engr. Mutiu Adebowale of First August Nigeria Limited.
Sowunmi said following the death of Chief Abayomi Jiboku, Alh. Tajudeen Adisa Olori has been promoted as the grand patron of the band, while Mr. Olayele Fadayomi, Chairman, Genesis Export, USA was appointed as the new patron and Dr. Mrs. Fehintola Adeseun as the Grand Patronese.
Sowunmi is a member of Abeokuta Sports Club, Crystal Mayors Club, Afrograms Abeokuta Old Students Association, Conference of Ogun State Musicians.
His international experience include, USA, UK, Cayman Islands, Turkey, South Africa, Ghana and Benin Republic.
