ABEOKUTA - Operatives of the Ogun State Amotekun Corps in Ijebu East has arrested a 40-year-old man, Ogidan Yussuf for inflicting grievous bodily harm on one Oluwo Shakiru.
According to the Amotekun Commander in a press release, CP David Akinremi, the suspect who works as an operator for the victim allegedly had an altercation over his inability to recover the saw machine given to him by the victim to operate, but seized by the forest guards.
Akinremi said the insistence of the victim to get back his saw, couple with the assault on his wife by the suspect led to a physical fight.
He explained further that, in the process, the suspect allegedly grabbed the victim’s genital organ and almost yank it off only to escape from the scene before his arrest by Amotekun operatives.
The victim was immediately rushed to Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital and is responding to treatment while the suspect who confessed to the dastardly act has been handed over to the Police for prosecution.
