ABEOKUTA - A cultural heritage promoter, Ewa-Ede Foundation will on December 27, 2021, bestow Awards of recognition on prominent Nigerians for their unrelenting efforts in the promotion of Adire fabrics.
According to a press release by the Convener Princess Adejoke Somoye, former Nigeria's President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi are among the awardees.
Princess Adejoke said the award recognition is part of the activities marking her tenth anniversary of promoting the aesthetics of Yoruba society -its cultures, norms and tradition.
The release added that the anniversary with the theme: "Celebrating our uniqueness as Africans” would hold at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Monday, 27th December, 2021 by 4:00pm prompt
Other dignitaries to be conferred awards on include Chief Olusegun Osoba, Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, Alake of Egba land, Oba Aremu Gbadebo, Tunde Kilani, Chief Nike Okundaye, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, amongst others.
