Encounter News Publisher Bags Prestige Best Exclusive Journalist Of The Year Award

ABEOKUTA - The Publisher of the popular online news tabloid in Ogun state, The Encounter News, Mr. Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji has been awarded as the Best Exclusive News Journalist in Ogun State by Prestige Newspaper.

Ogunsiji who had earlier won the Best Journalist Of The Year Award in Ogun State last month by Ogun Achievers was honoured by the Prestige newspaper following his revealing news article.

According to the Publisher of the newspaper, Elder Dada Olanipekun, Ogunsiji was selected for his exclusive report on Oke-Ilewo Health Centre where expectant fathers were forced to fetch water into the labour room and his nose for news at the police detention.

Olanipekun said the honour was to encourage him not to lose focus on his journalism career.

Other awardees are: Soji Ojuroungbe of Platform Times Newspaper who was awarded as Best Investigative Reporter of the Year, Olamilekan Jaji of Infolite magazine as the Developmental journalist of the year and the Head, PR Unit,   Crescent University, Abeokuta, Mr. Idris Katib as the Best PR practitioner of the year.
