Victor Mark Becomes Pioneer Rotary Club Charter President

ABEOKUTA - The popular real estate merchant in Abeokuta and CEO of Splash Estate Limited, Victor Eniola Mark was at the weekend elected as the pioneer Charter President, Rotary Club of Laderin-Hiltop under Ogun state District 9110.

At the colourful investiture ceremony held at the Green Legacy annex of President Olusegun Obasanjo Hilltop mansion had in attendance past and present presidents of the Abeokuta metro district, past Governor,  captain of industry, socialites, royal fathers among others.

In his inaugural speech, Mark said his belief in developmental leadership and humanitarian service over the years informed his decision to accept to be the Charter president when the opportunity came.

He said the charter under his watch would immediately rehabilitate the Laderin Primary Health Centre as part of the objectives of the group to the community.

He noted that, the Rotary Club of Laderin-Hilltop is a gathering of professionals, captains of industries, likeminds and neighbours with a common identity in fellowship and selflessness.

Also speaking, a former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel expressed confidence in the leadership of Victor Mark as the Charter President, describing him as a round peg in a round hole.

Daniel who was the Chairman of the event was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Babatunde Onadeko urged the new Rotary Club President to bring his experience as a successful real estate merchant to bear.

According to Otunba Daniel, "to the best of my knowledge, Rotary Club is an international organization of businessmen and women to raise money to develop their community and provide integrity and advanced world-class goodwill and peace.

"To be a leader, I expect Victor Mark to display the ability to lead perfectly and inspire other members into actions and the broad-based experience about the club.

"I do not envisage any fear, Victor Eniola Mark is a round peg in a round hole, he will put his experience together as a successful real estate agent, he will take rotary club leadership to a new level as Charter President."

The event witnessed the induction of other 40 members of the Charter Club and the presentation of awards to Honorary members.
