BREAKING: Ogun APC Lifts Suspension Of Ex-Deputy Speaker's Mother, Three Others


ABEOKUTA - The Ogun State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has lifted the suspension of Mrs. Adetola Kadiri, mother of sacked Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House Assembly, Dare Kadiri.


The suspension was lifted on Friday after an emergency meeting held by the party exco at ward 9, Ifelodun constituency of Ijebu North local government area of the state.


THE ENCOUNTER NEWS reports that Mrs. Kadiri; Sola Jaiyeola, the incumbent Councillor; Rasaq Adesina; and S.O. Bude were all served their suspension letters through the post office on Tuesday, 16th January, 2022 signed by one Sesan Araba and Yetunde Adebayo, who identified themselves as the Chairperson and Secretary of Ward 9, Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state respectively.


According to a copy of the letter made available to journalists, the politicians were accused of engaging in various anti-party activities.


However, their suspension was lifted in a letter dated January 21, 2022 and addressed to the APC Chairman in the state, Elder Yemi Sanusi.


According to a letter signed by the ward party chairman, Alhaji Sesan Araba, and the ward Secretary, Mrs. Yetunde Adebayo, their suspension was lifted in the interest of peace and harmony.


"Following the intervention of the leadership of the party in whom we have a very high level of respect, particularly from our constituency (Ifelodun), Ijebu North local government and in the interest of peace and harmony, the Ward Executives and the Ward Congress of Ward 09, Ijebu North Local Government, held Thursday 20th January 2022, reviewed and lifted the suspension order of the underlisted members of the party.


"Mrs. Adetola Kadiri (Iya Maba), Hon. Yekeen Sola Jaiyeola, Hon. Rasaq Adesina and Mrs. S.O Bude.


"This is to allow the party leadership continues to handle the matter. We have confidence that our leaders will ensure justice, equity, and discipline while handling the matter."
