PHONE CALL: Nigerians Drag President Buhari For Super Eagles Loss

LAGOS - Nigerians on social media have knocked President Muhammadu Buhari for calling the Super Eagles team in Cameroon ahead of their crucial match against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Sunday.

President Buhari had early hours of Sunday called the Nigerian players to congratulate them and charge them to victory against the Tunisian side.

But the Super Eagles who have been tagged as the tournament favourites after their performances in the group stage beating seven-time AFCON champion, Egypt, lost 1-0 to Tunisia on Sunday evening after a low effort shot from Youssef Msakni in the 47mins of the second half.

According to a Facebook user @Saheed Adeola he said...."After Buhari's Call, Super Eagles Crash Out of 2021 Africa Cup of Nations"

@Terwase Lawrence said....Anthony Joshua was on top until he received a call

The Super Eagles were on top until they received a call

#Saynotocall

The popular hip-hop artiste @Ruggedman on Twitter said...Omo, na to dey avoid some kind calls before a serious match oh 😑😐🤨

@Reno Omokri....Oh oh! Why did NFF allow Buhari speak with the Super Eagles players now! What is wrong with NFF? Have the forgotten what happened after he spoke to Anthony Joshua? Or Eagles in the last AFCON? Please we want to win. This nonsense must not repeat itself!

@Abu.....I am not comfortable with Buhari calling the Super Eagles before this match.
