ABEOKUTA - The wife of Ogun State governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has lauded the organizing committee of Victory Life Bible Church's 2022 Convention describing it as soul-lifting and spiritual upliftment.

Mrs. Abiodun stated this on Thursday at the ongoing convention of Victory Life Bible Church International held at the church auditorium in Abeokuta to mark the 30th anniversary of the Church.

The Ogun First Lady who assured the congregation of transformation in the state capital congratulated the founder and Lead Pastor of the church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume for contributing to the spiritual endowment of the state in the last  30 years.

She noted that the convention would serve as spiritual empowerment, praying that God will use the church for greater things.

Reacting, wife of the Lead Pastor, Rev. Fola Achudume lauded the First Lady for her philanthropic gesture, especially reaching out to the less privileged in the society through her pet project.

Describing the theme of the  convention which is: "In The Days Of His Power" the people shall be willing as most relevant, Reverend Achudume saw the need for Christians not to take the manifestation of God’s power for granted.

"The days of yeye Christianity is over. Christians must strive to excel in life. It is an abomination to remain on a spot every year.

"Why do you think you can survive in the world full of evil without the power of God? When you live an ordinary life, you will just be tossed around.

"As a Christian, you must not be less than who your maker has made you. The power of God changes the narratives. The pressure of life should not stop anyone from pursuing the God-given mandate, every level must be spirit-driven, the shadow of Peter was healing the sick because he carried the power of God."

Mrs. Achudume further noted that to successfully navigate this world, Christians need more than just human strength to subdue the power of the flesh.
