ABEOKUTA - A Senatorial aspirant from Ogun West on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka has expressed confidence in clinching the party's ticket ahead of other aspirants.
Isiaka disclosed this on Sunday at the Thanksgiving service held in honour of former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel at the Abraham Tabernacle, Sagamu.
The three-time governorship candidate maintained that, he has the experience and wherewithal to deliver the senatorial district for All Progressives Congress (APC).
Asked to react to his chances of defeating the Lagos Senator representing Lagos West, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Yayi at the primaries, GNI denied knowledge of the Lagos senator's ambition.
He said, "I'm not aware of somebody coming from Lagos. I'm only aware of those of us contesting the election are here in Ogun West. The thing is that I know that the party will give me the ticket, and the leader of the party is the governor. I will get the ticket. I'm the most experienced in terms of knowing the terrain."
He, therefore, described Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as the most qualified and experienced capable as Nigeria's next President.
He said Osinbajo's closeness with President Muhammadu Buhari as the Vice President in the last seven years has exposed him to have deep knowledge of Nigeria's economy and prepare him better ahead of the other aspirants in the country.
"The important thing is let the best man get the job and for me, the best man is Professor Yemi Osinbajo."
