ABEOKUTA - The Southwest Governorship Screening Committee led by Senator Ahmed Markafi has issued a clearance certificate for Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu confirming his qualification and eligibility to contest under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 Gubernatorial election of Ogun State.
The screening that was held at the Southwest Zonal office of the party at Ibadan, Oyo State on Thursday also screened other aspirants from Oyo and Lagos states.
Speaking on the successful screening of Hon. Adebutu, the Media Director, Afolabi Orekoya said Adebutu was found qualified and competent to represent the party as her flag bearer in the 2023 gubernatorial election in OGUN State.
He also said that Adebutu showed readiness, competence and experience as he presented all required documents on appearance before the screening committee and was cleared once, unlike other people who could not present all requirements to the committee like Permanent Voters Card (PVC), original school certificates and others.
Orekoya said further that the successful screening of Adebutu marks another milestone in the victory journey to deliver the people of Ogun State from the shackles of the ruling government.
“We are confident that we shall have victory in the upcoming gubernatorial primaries of the party after a successful screening of Hon. Adebutu”, Orekoya said.
