ABEOKUTA - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives aspirant for Sagamu-Ikenne-Remo North constituency, Mr. Bola Oluwole, has urged Muslim faithful to use the season of Ramadan to pray for unity and peace in the country.
Oluwole made the call in a statement in Abeokuta on Saturday to felicitate Muslims on the special Ramadan season.
He admonished Muslims to use the season to dedicate themselves to the teachings of Allah and also pray to God to address the various challenges facing the nation.
He noted that peaceful coexistence was needed in order to achieve meaning growth and development in the country.
The house of representatives aspirant also urged Muslims to assist the less privileged, particularly the orphans and widows in the society.
He stated that the season is a period of spiritual discipline, where Muslims intensify performing acts of worship with intention of getting closer to the Almighty Allah.
Oluwole urged them to keep loving one another while calling on Christian faithfuls to also extend hands to fellowship to Muslim brothers and sisters in the spirit of oneness.
