Balogun Afeez Campaign Organization Organizes Empowerment, Health Insurance Scheme For Constituents

ABEOKUTA - The leading House of Representatives aspirant for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Balogun Olaniyi Afeez on Friday organized empowerment programme and health insurance scheme for over 500 constituents.


Balogun, a Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Energy said the empowerment scheme was to help the downtrodden in his local government and lift them out of poverty.


He donated PoS machines and start up capital to the beneficiaries to start their businesses.


The empowerment programme had in attendance party leaders and notable dignitaries.


Meanwhile, friends and supporters of Mr. Balogun Afeez donated the sum of N10million to obtain expression and nomination form for his House of Representatives ambition.


Presenting the cheque on Friday at the empowerment programme, the Coordinator of Balogun Olaniyi Afeez Support Group, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide the gesture was to support his good work in the local government.


Shomide explained that Balogun has continually supported the less privileged in the local government in line with Governor Dapo Abiodun's mantra of building our future together.


Responding, Mr. Balogun Afeez thanked the support group and party leaders for their support and donation of nomination form.


He assured party leaders and members of providing quality leadership and good representation if given the party's mandate.


"I'm elated today. I thank my friends who stood by me and paid for my nomination fee, I believe with God, we will get there. If given this mandate, we shall provide quality leadership and qualitative representation. I'm going to be reliable."


He thanked the governor for supporting the party and given level playing ground for all aspirants.


"I'm going to use this opportunity to thank the Governor for supporting us and the party."


Party leaders present at the empowerment programme include, Chief Niyi Edun, Lekan Adegun, Alhaji Bisiriyu, Ayodeji Shomide, Oluwatobi Dorego among others.
