FMC Abeokuta Raises Alarm Over Unidentified Accident Victim At Facility



ABEOKUTA - The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi Aba, Abeokuta is seeking to locate the relatives of a yet-to -be identified accident victim currently receiving treatment  at the facility.


The man who is believed to be in his early 50 is said to be a victim of hit and run.


The Spokesperson of the institution, Segun Orisajo during an interview with journalists explained that the victim was found by commuters lying unconscious on the road median around the Ogun SACA axis of the Iyana Mortuary - OGTV road in the early hours of Monday.


He stressed that the victim was promptly conveyed to the hospital by a motorist, Mr Olusegun Ajayi who decided to help when he discovered that the unconscious man was still breathing.


Orisajo expressed FMC's readiness to give the victim adequate treatment as well as intensify efforts to locate the victim's family. 


A Radio Nigeria correspondent who was among the sympathizers that rushed the man to the Federal Medical Centre reports that the injured man was putting on shorts under the white and blue striped polo top with the inscription of Total Services Ikeja Lagos with cream coloured jacket at the time he was rescued. 


When radio Nigeria checked back on the patient, the doctors on duty said the man required urgent intensive care and X-ray to ascertain his situation."
