ABEOKUTA - Member representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside federal constituency and Deputy Minority Whip at the House of Representatives, Hon. Adesegun Adekoya has assured all aspirants who contested the PDP federal constituency primary election with him will be potential stakeholders in his administration, advising them to stop whipping up constituency sentiment to champion political goals.
Adekoya who emerged as PDP flag bearer for federal constituency ahead of the 2023 general elections, equally appealed to other aspirants to accept defeat in good faith.
Attacker as fondly called by admirers stated this on Thursday in a press release by his media office following a purported protest organized by one of the contenders jostling for the position in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
He advised the aggrieved aspirant not to see the election as do-or-die affair, but service to humanity and an avenue to further put smiles on the faces of the people of the federal constituency.
He noted that, elections are not won on social media, stressing that the elections which produced him as the candidate of the party was in line with the laid down rules and regulations of national secretariat of the party.
“Though, I have emerged the Party candidate, but I can tell you that in line with the internal democratic principle of PDP, we are all winners.
"Our party is a very organized one. And the national secretariat of the party has a credible channel of redressing grievances arousing from election. The Elections Appeal Committee was in the state to the best of my knowledge to handle such issues”.
