"I get elated when I came in contact with your lofty ideas and lovely innovations, trying to change the narratives of our land. On behalf of the State government and my amiable boss, Prince Dapo Abiodun Mfr and the ministry of housing, I want to congratulate you for the wonderful job you have been doing over the last 10 years in the state and we want to urge you to do more.
"For us, as the captain of real Estate sector in Ogun state, we cannot but support great ideas that would help solve the housing deficit in the Nation.
For us in this government, we believe housing is a right of every citizens, not a privilege. We are about the first Government to sign the Mortgage and foreclosure law.
"The law is to protect all genuine investors in the State. Aside the genuine investors, everyone that has to had value to the value chain, be you subscriber, investor, financier or developer, the law will definitely interest you and propel you to do more.
"We also have a housing policy to deliver a total of 2,500 housing units before the end of our first tenure in office and I want to tell you now that as at today, we have surpassed the record of the last 16years, despite the COVID which took over one year.
"So, what you are bringing to the table is a welcome idea, and we want to wholeheartedly welcome you and support you whichever way you want."
Speaking earlier, the Pelican Valley CEO, Dr. Adeyemo thanked the state government for her modified and implemented policies that have enhanced quality service and encouraged various real estate companies in the state.
Adeyemo noted that the urbanization of the Gateway state should not be solely left in the hand of the government but collective efforts of the private investors and stakeholders in the real estate sector in the state.
He added that, the emergence of Pelican Brief Estate, Kobape had played an integral role in generation of revenue for the state government through various stamp duties from clients and investors which has attracted over 1,000 Nigerians in diaspora into the state government's tax scheme.
"To us this is just a starting point as we are set to ignite some project within the Kobape region that will help to aid, sustain and generate more revenue to the coffers of the state government and also aid controlled development, proper planning and Urbanization and most importantly boost the agricultural production base of the state in no small measures.
"Today, Pelican Brief Estate is the only Estate with a full Government Approved layout, in the last three years of this administration lifespan, having fulfilled meticulously, all the conditions and requirements from all the relevant Government agencies.
"Infrastructure is an important element in urban development. No one can underestimate the need for good road network and the various developments it can drive along.
"It is worthy of note that this particular Masa, kobape axis had been constantly neglected by past administrations; and had felt the presence of government over 2 decades ago. Thanks to chief Osoba for fixing a 33-KVA trunk line we are enjoying on the axis today.
"Apart from the 1.5Km committed acquisition boundaries, the strategic and prime status of the axis is expected to generate an estimated N30 billion in direct and indirect taxes into the coffers of the Ogun State government within the next three years, when the three kilometers single lane Masha/ Abeokuta road is fixed. This same road, spanning through Kobape junction to Masha village which also connects through President Muhammadu Buhari Estate from behind, has the capacity to decongest the whole Abeokuta metropolis within three years."
