Read FUNAAB VC's Sallah Message That Causes Stir On Internet

 

ABEOKUTA - As we celebrate Eid-el Kabir worldwide, I, on behalf of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), I wish the entire Muslim Ummah of our Academic Community a memorable happy celebration.

For us in the university, it is another ample opportunity to join our Muslim brothers and sisters and their counterparts all over the world to thank Allah for witnessing another Sallah celebration.

It is my prayer that the Almighty in His benevolence shall give us the grace to witness many celebrations in peace, prosperity, progress, development and acceptable service to Him and humanity.

For me, as the Sixth Substantive Vice-Chancellor of our University, this particular celebration of Eid-el Kabir is unique. For your immense support in running the University administration,  I say a big thank you.

We must keep reminding ourselves of unparallel spiritual importance of this celebration. I  urge us all to take advantage of this festive period to reflect on the true lessons of Eid-el Kabir which include love, compassion, sacrifice, selflessness, patience, resilience and above all, unflinching trust in God.

It is expedient that we imbibe  the virtues just mentioned and cultivate them in our lives in order to impact meaningfully on humanity.

May I also enjoin us to use this occasion to pray for peace, progress and development of our University, our dear nation, Nigeria and our various families.

FUNAAB, Nigeria and our families shall continue to prosper, break new grounds and attain greater heights always.

On our part as managers of your University, be rest assured that we shall not relent in our genuine drive to forster,  sustain and strengthen religious harmony and peaceful co-existence.
