Adebutu Commiserates With Slain MAPOLY Student's Family

 


ABEOKUTA - The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu has mourned the death of a student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Happiness Odeh who was reported to have been murdered along Iperu Saapade road on Tuesday, 9th August.


According to a condolence message released on Sunday by the media Director of Adebutu’s campaign, Afolabi Orekoya, Adebutu condoled with the family of deceased and students of MAPOLY urging them to take solace in God. He described the killing of Happiness Odeh as a grievous loss that is painful and hard to bear.


Adebutu, also berated the insensitivity and incapacity of the present government to tackle insecurity which is now leading to the loss of many innocent souls across the state.


It was gathered that Happiness Odeh, an ND II student of Mass communication department, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, was abducted, raped and killed on her way to a movie location at Ipara Remo.


Adebutu in the condolence message also said “with sober feelings, we join relatives, friends, colleagues, and the entire students of MAPOLY to mourn the demise of Miss Happiness Odeh, who was the face of the school till her demise; we have just lost a young, vibrant, talented and bright soul”.


While admonishing the relatives, friends, and colleagues of the deceased to hope and pray for a better, safe, and secured Ogun State and Nigeria at large, he prayed for the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss and that God should grant the departed soul eternal rest.


The message ended with a charge to the State government and all relevant security agencies in the state to thoroughly investigate this ugly incident and get justice for Miss Odeh.
