Dapo Abiodun Too Weak To Be Ogun Governor For Second Term - Paseda

ABEOKUTA - A two time governorship candidate in Ogun State Otunba Olatunde Rotimi Paseda has described Governor Dapo Abiodun has a weakling who does not deserve to be re-elected as Governor.


The former Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) chieftain declared that he would work with the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Ladi Adebutu to unseat governor Abiodun.


Paseda who recently renounced his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said a performing governor who deserves second term should be able to give detalied account of his achievements in the state.


He disclosed that all his political team have left the APC officially and ready to put forces and unflinching support behind the PDP's candidate in 2023.


Paseda, who spoke through his media aide, Wasiu Adejumo said, his political loyalists were instrumental to the emergence of governor Abiodun in 2019, saying "activities have shown that Abidoun was not prepared for the office initially and also weak to be allowed for second term".


He added that the Adebutu will enjoy various groups of APC card carrying members, 6000 Reformed OPC members, 2000 Ijebu Youth association members, and thousands of loyalists across the state in the quest to rescue power from the APC and reposition the gateway state to the path of socio-economic, prosperity and abundance.


"I have honourably and officially renounced my membership of the APC with genuine reasons, which are contained my resignation letter to the National chairman of APC, I have also instructed that all my political family, groups and loyalists should be in harmony and support the PDP governorship candidate, in order to rescue power from Dapo Abiodun erroneous government in 2023".
