Osun: Adeleke’s Transition Committee Alleges Plan To Mop Up Councils’ Funds

OSOGBO - The Ademola Adeleke Transition Committee has raised the alarm of attempt by the administration of Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, to illegally mop up funds domiciled in the local councils’ accounts.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Media Sub-Committee, Malam Olawale Rasheed, the transition committee said it had uncovered a fresh move by the incumbent government to coerce Heads of Administration and Heads of Finance in all local councils to move between N20 to N30 million each from their allocations.

Meanwhile, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Ismail Omipidan, has denied the allegation. 

He challenged the committee to provide evidence of their claim to the public.
