Group Calls For Amosun's Suspension Over Attack On Buhari, Oshiomole In Abeokuta

ABEOKUTA - The National Youth Democratic Network (NYDM) has reiterated its call for decisive disciplinary action of the APC apparatus against what it described as anti party stance of Governor Ibikunle Amosun against Prince Dapo Abiodun, the APC Governorship Candidate and the All Progressives Congress as a party in Ogun State.

This call is coming on the hill of violence which greeted the APC Presidential Rally in the Ogun state.

The Group berated Governor Amosun for coordinating violence against APC members at the Presidential Rally and destroying campaign materials of The APC Governorship candidate.

According to the group in a press statement issued in Abeokuta by its State Coordinator Comrade Hamzat Solanke, "we want to call the attention of our party leadership to our earlier call for sanctions against Governor Ibikunle Amosun for his recalcitrance and disrespect for our party, APC"

"Governor Ibikunle Amosun has again proven to the world his anti APC stance such that he could not hold back his disdain for party discipline and democracy. It is therefore imperative that the Comrade Adams Oshiomole led APC National Executive take disciplinary measures against Governor Amosun and his ilks to correct this anomaly."

The group went further to describe the MKO Abiola stadium incidence as a high level breach or security protocol and compromise of President Buharis Safety. "The ugly incident commandeered by Governor Amosun is a security breach which must not be allowed to go without being investigated.

The statement went further to state that "It is imperative for security chiefs in Ogun State to bring the perpetrators to book. The presidency is hereby called to look into security formations in the state with serious consideration for reshuffle and redeployment to restore sanity, ensure itch free election and prevent break down of law and order in Ogun State."

The body equally apologised to President Buhari and other dignitaries present on the ugly incidence.

"We regret this ugly development and display brigandage in our state, we apologise to the President and other leaders for the embarrassment. We want to assure the President of our commitment to secure total and overwhelming victories for APC at both February 16th and March 2nd poll". Solanke said.
