The Senator, through his Omo-Ilu Foundation, instead of paying the actual school fees of N56,000, donated the sum of US $200 dollars and a cash of N6,000 with a wheelchair to Adeyemi to enable him overcome walking challenges.
Senator Kashamu who was sympathetic to the plight of Adeyemi ordered the immediate approval of his request letter without any delay.
Speaking with journalists after receiving the donations, Adeyemi told THE ENCOUNTER that he had spent three days in the premises of Omo-Ilu Foundation, a charity organisation established by the Ogun State PDP governorship candidate, Senator Buruji Kashamu, to seek assistance to pay his tuition fee, which he put at N56,000.
According to him, his predicament caught the attention of the state coordinator of the foundation, Mr. Adeleke Shittu who presented his case to Senator Kashamu who instructed to be given a wheelchair instead of the walking stick.

Adeyemi who could not hide his joy, said, "in fact, it's a big surprise to me, which I really appreciate. I wish the chairman of Omo Ilu foundation, more power to his elbow.
"I have been around in this premises for about three days, trying to make sure I get a listening air to my plight and I thank God that at the end of the day, I saw someone who helped me through.
"In the first instance, I came for a school fees and in addendum, I need something to aid my movement. But with the support of Mr. Shittu, he reasoned that if a wheel chair could be added to support my movement, it will aid my locomotion."
He however expressed his gratitude to Senator Kashamu on the gesture, urging other Nigerians to emulate the philanthropical gesture of the PDP candidate.
Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Omo-Ilu foundation, Mr. Shittu Adeleke explained that, the foundation has been assisting the less privileged in the society for over a decade.
Shittu said, "Ordinarily, he requested for his school fees which is about N56, 000. But the man of the people (Kashamu) in his magnanimity thought it wise and approved for him, the total sum of $200 dollars and a cash of N6,000 totally N76,000 in Nigeria currency and a wheelchair which is around N250,000. That's what he has been doing for the past fifteen and sixteen years. it is not limited to Ogun State but all over Nigeria."
