INSECURITY: NANS Calls For Redeployment Of Army Chief Of Staff To Ogun

ABEOKUTA - To ensure the safety of lives and property of citizens of Ogun State during and after the conduct of governorship in Ogun State, the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) has called for the redeployment of Chief of Army Staff to the state. 

NANS National PRO, Comrade Azeez Adeyemi made the call on Tuesday at a press conference in Abeokuta. 

Adeyemi noted that, the lives of his members not worth sacrificed by any group or individual. 

He said the call became imperative following the unsafe political atmosphere in the state. 

The NANS spokesman therefore berated some group of people kicking against the call for deployment of military personnel to the state, describing it as "sponsored and hatchet job".

"We are shocked to see some intellectual vegetables and criminals playing with the security of lifes and properties,by kicking against the call on federal government to deploy military men to secure, protect life's and properties during coming governorship election. 

"NANS is hereby calling on the federal not to listen to these sponsored groups by the state government, it does in any way represents the voice of the people.

"It is a pity, to see some names in the kangaroo press conference, we wonder what has happened to supposed voice of the people, after listening to their frivolous excuse , We asked, how come would appearance of military cause any voters empathy, did anyone complained to them?

"As a matter of security ,we like to also inform the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammad buhari,that the sudden marriage between these state sponsored advocates, Ogun State government led by Governor Ibikunle Amosun; the initiator of the dangerous move and Ogun state commissioner of police is becoming unnecessary as the result is infringements on the rights of the students and Ogun eligible electorates.

"NANS hereby wants to state that, these elements never consider  student communities in  their selfish thinking.

They should know that most student registered in the pooling unit very close to there hostel , there request is simply assassination of the future, I represented and I will not open my eyes for anyone to allow reduce our personal security for personal gains."
